OcuGraft is an amniotic membrane applied as a corneal bandage used to re-epithelize the cornea when the ocular surface cells have been damaged, or the underlying stroma is inflamed or scarred.
OcuGrafts key differentiators are its dual layer structure comprised of two layers of the hyaluronic acid rich stroma of the amniotic membrane. OcuGraft is also processed with minimal manipulation to the amniotic tissue preserving the inherent biologic components including high molecular weigh or “heavy chain” hyaluronic acid.
OcuGraft is being used by physicians to treat patients suffering from conditions such as corneal ulcers, recurrent corneal erosion and other ocular surface diseases such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
